FAQ
Sonic Boom provides development and competition platforms for boys and girls ranging in age from 4-17. Whatever your athlete's skill level - whether a varsity tackle football player or a Pre-K kiddo just learning the game , Sonic Boom has a program for you.
Sonic Boom serves both boys and girls. Our younger teams are co-ed. As the athletes enter middle school age, there will be separate Boys and Girls teams.
For Spring Season, which runs February through June, there will be a total of 18 practices.
For Fall Season, which runs September through December, there will be a total of 15 practices.
All sessions are 90 minutes and include athletic development, football skills, and system installation.
For Spring 2026, there will be four (4) indoor practices held at Forekicks Taunton.
Starting in March, practices will be held outdoors in Wrentham. Field TBD.
We participate in highly competitive regional tournaments hosted by established local/regional Flag Football companies, including:
• Unrivaled Flag Football
• Metro Boston Sports/NFL Flag
• AAU
Select optional out-of-state events may also be available.
Sonic Boom coaches are experienced, highly qualified, fully-vetted professionals with backgrounds in youth/high school/college football, education, and athletics administration. Every team has two dedicated coaches, ensuring maximum development and attention.

In addition to the core uniform/apparel package, Sonic Boom will have a team store for players and family members to purchase additional branded equipment (e.g. headgear, receiver gloves, arm sleeves) and apparel.
Practices and clinics will take place primarily in Norfolk/Wrentham, with occasional indoor practices in Taunton.
Regular season tournaments will be within New England, primarily in Massachusetts. Qualifying teams will have the opportunity to travel to Florida for National level tournaments.
We have every intention of welcoming every boy and girl who desires to be a part of the Sonic Boom family. That said, if interest levels surpass our ability to field enough teams while maintaining our highest standards, we may eventually have to implement a tryout process.
What matters most is:
• A commitment to development
• A positive attitude
• Alignment with our core values and expectations
Absolutely, we strongly encourage playing multiple sports and, as parents of young athletes ourselves, we fully understand the challenges of balancing the busy sports calendar. We will make every effort to structure our program – one practice per week and predictable tournament weekend schedules – in a way that supports multi-sport athletes. Playing multiple sports is important for full athletic development.
If you are interested in registering, please fill out the Interest form and a coach will contact you.
